Her first steps into the route were one of fresh air, a pleasurable reminder of her home town back in Celestic. Nice, calm, and filled with Pokemon just going about their day. Vivian herself simply marches on, giving a friendly wave to the various Bidoof and Wooper that were vibing within the river. Yet, at the same time, there was something that called out to Vivian as she made her way up the rocky path. Something imperceptible in the air, yet still a sense that Vivian was familiar with: The unmistakable scent of well-aged ruins. Vivian’s first sign of the ruins was a simple wall, barely visible over the crest of the walkway she was on. Yet as soon as she saw the aged stone, the young archeologist froze… And then almost immediately broken into a full sprint, her hands already flying towards her bag, filled with various archeological tools, kicking up a cloud of dust as she ran. This was her calling, her true fervor. An ancient ruin, right on the front steps of a city! And she got to try to decipher them all by herself! If she wasn’t busy making a mad dash to them, she could have fainted from the sheer joy.
