[row][cell]________________________________________ Name: Ayo Suematsu Age: 18 Gender: Female Nationality: Japanese Personality: To most everyone Ayo is a reserved, intimidating figure, a view that's been carefully cultivated over the years. She tends to remain silent unless spoken to, and when she does give her two cents they're cutting and to the point, very blunt for someone of her status. Otherwise she's a model student, an academic success, though she keeps everyone at arm's length. The truth of the matter is that Ayo holds a lot of disdain for people in her life, a silent, simmering hate that she doesn't get to show. While she's outwardly an aloof but amicable girl, the ‘real’ Ayo is very much done with the world. She's petty, abrasive, selfish, prone to whatever small rebellions she can pull off - pranks, theft, anonymous hate, vandalism - though she's clever and aware enough to not get caught very often. And when she's in the Metarealm as her alter ego, she's an entirely different person. Loud, more than a little manic, impulsive and carefree. In her own words, when she's traipsing about the Metarealm, she goes out of her way “not to think too hard”, willfully playing dumb in all manner of things. It's her only real chance to, after all.
Ayo Suematsu’s reputation precedes her; being the sole child of Mikihiro Suematsu, a very influential politician, her life's been publicized far and wide across Japan. Ayo was born to a single mother in Shōnai, a topic of many rumors since nobody knew who the father was. Her mother, Yuzuki Kikkawa, raised Ayo without complaint, doing her best to make sure she had a happy life. Ayo did, though she was often left alone as she grew from a toddler to a child, as her mother had to work to support them both. Because of this Ayo learned a lot of independence at an early age. Any questions she might've had about her dad were quick to dry up, since Yuzuki never told anything about him. For all intents and purposes Ayo only had a mom, and she was fine with that. Ayo's simple life would, unfortunately, come to an end - Yuzuki died in an sudden accident. Ayo was just about to enter junior high, and her mother, the only person in the world she had, was ripped away from her... to say she was devastated would not be enough. With no other family to take her in, and the neighbors either unable or unwilling to, Ayo was all alone. Not knowing what to do she just stayed in her house, mourning her mother, for days (nearly two weeks) until word had finally reached a children's safety organization. Planning to take Ayo away from her home, now dirty and devoid of food, to an orphanage, she didn't have much choice and was resigned to her apparent fate. But just before her transfer was as good as done, a strange man in a suit appeared and took her away from them, for one simple reason: he was taking her to her father. Since that day Ayo was under the care of Mikihiro Suematsu. The story of him recovering his abandoned daughter, what should be a scandal for someone of in his position, actually helped propel him higher in the political world, spun into his image as someone who connected with the "heart of Japan", the average person and their simple communities. And to that end Ayo was educated on how to act like a politician's daughter. Between that and the radical shift in her life, Ayo's teenage years were rough. She was basically a popularity stunt: every time she moved schools, it was newsworthy. Companies wanted her to be seen with their products. Ayo went from having only one person in her life to having pretty much everyone in her business. Naturally, this led to Ayo becoming something of a troubled youth. While she didn't publicly act out, to "protect" her father's reputation, she was the cause of more than a few scandals in whatever private academies she would be sent to. From exam answers being leaked online to embarrassing photos finding their way around the halls, Ayo did all sorts of things just to feel like she had some control. Of course none of these scandals ever linked back to her, Mikihiro's connections to media outlets helping to erase her involvement whenever it would be obvious, and each time they happened she would be quietly pulled from the student body only to end up at another institution within the week. At some point this back-and-forth between Ayo and her dad wore him down to where he would actually listen to her. Enough for Ayo to convince him to send her to a 'normal' school instead of these hoity-toity rich kid places. The compromise was that she'd spend her last year of school at Hane High - not quite the average student experience but at least one step away from the top. Maybe a little too late to matter, but Ayo enjoyed finally getting something she wanted. Now she just had to get through one final year... and end up following in her father's footsteps anyways?
What Is Your Desire? "To be left alone for once in my life." ::Combat Information:: Codename: FREE - a witty exclamation when she first met another Black Crown user, but it stuck. [*]Authority: Commoner's Gambit - using her Authority, Ayo can 'shift' herself to the back of peoples' minds, effectively making her the least important thing to them in that moment. This can manifest a number of ways - maybe they figure calling a friend is more pressing than keeping an eye on her, or they become preoccupied with other thoughts while she's talking to them, or simply dismissing her as a threat in favor of more obvious targets. It doesn't make her outright invisible, though, so she can still be seen, heard, and felt while the Authority is active.
