Basic Information
Name: Rowena Lacerna Alias: Seamstress Age: 25 Gender: Female Appearance (Before Awakening) A well-mannered young woman with a good complexion, who always sat up straight, always had just the right amount of makeup on, and always dressed one step above the expectations of the occasion. Gentle, lovely, a flower in all but name. Appearance (After Awakening) The flower has wilted, and yet it has become ever-more joyous as a result. Bagged eyes look upon life as if it were but a cut of meat, and stitches keep sallow skin together. What was once bright and glamorous had turned to some melancholic and rotten, but it is undeniable that her beauty remains. Remains as a lure, to placate the subject underneath the knife.
Awakening Details
Vision: Smoke choking the lungs, fire searing the tears out of one's eyes. Amidst the crackling flesh of pyre and the wailing of the burning man's dirge, a hooded man rises from the shadows cast by inferno. One can only have light with fire and lightning. One can only obtain enlightenment through death and rebirth. A needle spikes into her spine, taboo knowledge sent straight to the base of her brain. Cranial fluids bubble, vaporize, while the needle swings down with the violence of a surgeon. She is unstitched, her emotions scooped out like the stuffing of a bear. She is refilled, foreign substances crammed in until the ensuing repair hardly fit. And only then are the words delivered, portent and pleasure. "Forget yourself." Rank: 2 Summoned Weapon(s)

Needle and Thread - The monster was stitched together.
Reanimating Lightning - Life was granted not through breath, but through lightning.

Lore & Power
Origin Story: Frankenstein. Is there any more need for explanation, for a tale so pervasive as this? From East to West, from North to South, its message is manifold and complex, fitting anything from the themes of 'not belonging' that any teenager could angst about to cautionary tales of unchecked scientific innovation that becomes ever more relevant now. Relative Strength: 9 Manifestation: Frankenstein has always been about the man and the monster, not the tools made to enable this story. As such, despite their fantastic capabilities, the weapons themselves are rather mundane. The Needle is thirty centimeters in length, and the Thread is inexhaustible, coming from a spool. Any flesh that is sewn onto a subject will become considered part of that subject's body, nerve connections made near-instantly and without any risk of rejection, the functionality of that new part being either equal to or better than anything that the subject themselves would've naturally had. With precise needlework, a quadriplegic could become whole within minutes. But the only solution for illness and poison is amputation and replacement. The Reanimating Lightning is a static charge constantly present within the body, and it discharges in the same way that static electricity usually does: through close proximity between bare flesh and flesh. Incapable of harm, it instead has the effect of jolting an individual awake, regardless of whether they were just dozing off or were fully unconscious, and has the secondary effect of relieving fatigue. More effective than caffeine, and less addictive too, it enables people to work up until the point their brain melts and their body breaks. And for herself? She has not dreamed for a long while. ... But those are just shallow, surface-level things. Frankenstein, after all, wasn't ever a story about stitches or lightning. It was about a monster and a man. Attributes 9

Might: 1 There isn't anything so tough about her. She's just skin and bones, really.
Agility: 4 Steady hands and dexterous movements make battlefield surgeries a simple matter.
Endurance: 1 She can work long hours, but taking a punch or two would be unpleasant.
Presence: 3 There is something disquieting about her. Something not right.
Instinct: 1 A madman knows not to fear flame.
Resonance: 5 It fits like a glove, this vessel.

Guild Information
Guild Assessment Result: (To be revealed IC—leave blank until after your initiation scene if you’d like.) Affiliation: It is a comfortable place. They respect her wishes to be out on the field, no matter how foolish it may be. The pay is secondary to the indulgence of it all.
Background
Personality: It's so shallow. A bright smile, wide eyes, and a sickly pallor that is flushed only with the excitement and joy she feels for the world. Then it ebbs away in more serious situations, and the empathy and understanding kicks in, a doctor's bedside manner to a terminal patient. She's an easy conversationalist, ever so eager to hear about others' lives, her legs crossed and her head slightly tilted. Each question teasing further, learning more and more. But there's nothing beneath that, not really. She is a professional, judging by how she carries herself. She is a workaholic, judging by how she rarely leaves work, by how she's on-call 24/7. She is... Without hobbies, without friends, without family, without love. And when it comes down to it, she will look at her past, so full of love and light and hope, and she would prefer her present, within the mire of a soul-effacing Awakening. There was no reason to partake of human joys, not when her soul had finally become free of it. History: They did well enough, she supposed. Certainly, she didn't hate her family, and once she started being paid well enough to become independent, she didn't move out of the family home either. It was a simple, pleasant routine. Do your work, do your chores. Work out, relieve stress, maintain social connections. Make family time into quality time, and make the most out of the time that you have. Save up for your retirement, and leave a bit left for a vacation every once in a while. Her parents were the model worker, the middle-class ideal as they steadily chipped away at their mortgage and worked regular hours with no need for overtime in order to maintain their lifestyle. As for herself, she had all that she wanted too: plenty of attention from teachers in elementary, great grades and a great boyfriend in high school, then an internship at a marketing agency in university, alongside a better boyfriend who was studying corporate law! Rowena did well enough for herself. She had never suffered hunger or loneliness, nor bad grades or sleeplessness. The angst that puberty may have struck others with never landed for her, and the threat of corporations and villains always felt so distant. It was a bland and pleasant peace, the sort which so many others would have begged for, and which she could hardly appreciate without possessing the understanding that it could have been so much worse. She maintained that life of hers. She lived well. Her job out of university was promising. Her corporate-law boyfriend had proposed. They were getting married! The news came a few months later. She was pregnant! Her parents were going to help out with getting a new house for the soon-to-be-married couple! Would it be a son or a daughter? Would they have her eyes or his? Already, there were talks about the future, about which private school to send her child, about which hobbies to allow, which skills to develop! Rowena was already at the finish line. Her life was already perfect, by every possible definition. And she...she was content. She was Awakened. Motivation: It's simply a matter of peace. Of all the Guilds and Organizations present, of the mish-mash of heroes and villains in the world, the Order of the Lake is the most annoying sort to handle as an adversary. Better to stand by them than against them, if one wants to work in peace. Optional Theme Song: Witch
