I certainly did haha. 

So where the powers come from is actually a relatively big plot point that I don’t want to spoil, but suffice it to say they come from somewhere quite unexpected. Magic is unheard of in this world. To explain a bit, in the world of The Worn the angels are invading Earth and every country’s military or defense force is doing their best to fend them off (conventional weapons can cause damage, but angels are intelligent so they fight with dynamically evolving tactics). The reason why the magic is such an important plot point in the narrative is because no one else (presumably…) can use it and it really gives our player characters an edge in the fight. 

Good question. It’s been 30 years since the initial demon invasion took place. The angels took twenty years wiping out every last demon before turning their attention to humanity for the next ten years leading up to the start of our story.
