On top of a free rest, they also got to dig into the resources that the seekers had been sending back to it, namely a lovely sushi dinner made from a combo of the giant fish they’d helped catch, and the various ingredients retrieved by the white team. It’d be quite the treat, had then not just come off of a week of eating seafood at Bancho Sushi day in day out. The change in chef did give it its own twist to the meal, but both somewhat regretted not grabbing something novel from Shinjuku before they left (other than bubble gum). The next day, despite their desires, the pair were up with the dawn thanks to living on ship time, which left both sister and brother both grumbling and complaining about the ship’s AI, Hope, having set their alarm for them after they crashed into bed the prior night. Once up however, youthful energy had seen them rushing to grab shipside breakfast (fruit and grains from Flowerbud Village), before heading down from the ship to go re-link up with the rest of the team now that their little side activity was over. They had, after all, said they’d be there to cheer on the fighters when they got into their matches. Plus, though their mission had gotten pretty sidetracked, they did have some informational spoils from it. When it came to their original objective, Eunie and Taion hadn’t been the most informative when it came to cassette beasts, mainly by confirming that, yes, it was the accruement of damage that built up a hypothetical meter. Importantly, however, they also learned that said meter’s charge lingered between battles, rather than needing to be filled in a single fight. When it came to interlinks, they’d informed them that it took a strong bond and a ‘defining moment’ to pull it off the first time, and thus wasn’t really something they could teach. They’d simply know how to do it when the moment came, now that they knew it was possible. The key informational bombshell, as far as they were concerned, they dropped as soon as they caught up with the other seekers, having used a warp painting to skip the trek into town they’d all had to take the day before. ”Hey guys! Guess who knows how to shatter flame clocks!” Jr announced with ample amounts of cockyness. Of course, when asked for clarity on this, he had to admit that the whole thing wasn’t that straightforward, mainly because ”Well, uh, we need to get this super specific sword called ‘Lucky Seven’ that some guy called Noah would have apparently” Unfortunately, while this had been true in their information source’s own world, as a certain king of evil knew, this was total misinformation for Galeem’s copy of the world. The solution was right in front of the seekers, if only they could pool their information and point Eunie and Taion at a clock before their own clocks ran out. ”We also found out that the ‘source engine’ thing’s probably in the empty space” Rika added, as she found a seat. The ship girl had somehow gotten a head shorter than she had been before, despite showing no telltale signs of fusion, and so had to join the Lalafell in perching on the seat rather than sitting on it. Her gear had all been adjusted to her new size the night before, but adjusting to the world being bigger was taking some getting used too. Once settled she also gave a short amount of context to why they knew this ”We found some people who’d done all of this before. They’re up on the Avenger right now with their lost number kid” which her brother used as a jumping off point to info dump. ”Yeah turns out Galeem can’t even come up with its own way of running its slapped together world. The lost numbers, source engine, Consuls, flame clocks, n all that stuff? All aped from one world. Only new thing is the guardians, which are probably what’s stopping anyone from finding that engine by just crashing a space ship into it. Last one was just hidden in a cloud” Once settled in, and after having answered any other questions they could be bothered answering, Rika asked ”So how’d it go over here?” before the pair got stuck into a light second breakfast. Growing kids needed their nutrients after all, especially if, in the shipgirl’s case, they needed to catch back up to where they were before.
