Team Valkyrie Headquarters Monday August 22, 2094 Late Afternoon Aachen Germany
Alexander considered what had been happening with Paul during the season. He came to an unusual decision. He hired Sports Psychologist Dr. Zoé Ingold to help Paul. Paul would probably throw a fit about it but Alexander believed Paul’s issues were tied to his mental state. He hoped that the good doctor could help him work through whatever psychological blocks he had. It was an unusual step but Alexander realized that Paul had some unresolved trauma around losing his father at a young age. Paul might fight it but Alexander was hopeful that mandatory therapy would help him even if it didn’t translate onto the track. The two new engine specialists had started today and had spent the morning going through paperwork with the head of HR. They were being onboarded by Cavan this afternoon. Both of the new engineers were from Germany, Isaak Cronenberg and Jacqueline Schultz. They would be the liaison engineers between the Team and Meridian Aerospace. While this was going on, the Team headquarters and ships were getting completely new upgraded computer systems courtesy of Banshee Microsystems. The team was also receiving security upgrades courtesy of Radian Security Systems. Alexander had signed the sponsor contract for Immersia Entertainment which had dropped another cool 5 million euros into the team’s coffers. He had also signed the contract for Wizard Technologies. Alexander was looking forward to seeing how that sponsor translated after Singapore. He hoped the team did better at the next race. The new sponsor would have a space in the Fan Zone at Singapore. They would be demonstrating a new kitchen appliance line to fans. Alexander looked over a report from Sami about the Junior Team. The Junior Team was responding well to increased support. Scarlett had done well in Hawaii. Anna had done better but was still performing much lower than Scarlett. Alexander was pleased to note that Sami was checking in with the Junior Team sponsors and they were all quite happy with their agreements so far. Alexander couldn’t help but think that at least one thing had gone his way. He was still waiting to hear back from Lipusv about the materials backlog for the engineering department.
