But remember that we're telling a story here. You don't tell much of a story if you just rush into war. You have to lay things out for the reader, and make sense of things. You can't just say, "Well, it's common knowledge that they would want to rebuild Yugoslavia". You need to actually play us through it. And even with the desire to rebuild Yugoslavia, there'd be other reasons for wanting the territories, which you could have shown us. Easing into things is almost always better than just rushing through it and leaving everyone with a ton of questions as to why things were done.
