Kerris is an offshoot or subspecies of Dranfel, like her brother. Her scales are more subtle than normal, making her more flexible in movement and in tail use. Her balance and poise would jawdrop an Olympic Gymist, but we'll get to that later. Dranfel like her and Maxon lack the muzzle, in favor of instead a sloping visage from the forehead and shape of the nose. The eyes seem to glow faintly, though that is likely due to a higher-degree of light intake from being evolved from a nocturnal subspecies. They absolutely do not glow in the dark. Kerris' attire is a combination of Dranfel-made and human-made attire, as some of the things do seem to fit, though she is seven feet tall, not including the horns. The horns do make this difficult, sometimes, but at least her toe-claws a subtle enough that they don't tear through her boots. (Essentially, her arm bracers, shin guards, and belt are Dranfel and the rest is human-made clothing.) Out of the two of them, she is the nimble-fast one that takes the enemy down quickly and even quietly, though she is not against a bit of the ultra-violence. [color=a187be][b]Personality:[/b][/color] In certain ways, she and her brother are certainly alike. They both value strength and fighting prowess, like any Dranfel. They like new and shiny weapons to try out and maintain, as it is as much a fun pasttime as it is something of practical purpose. They both enjoy a certain level of classic humor, with a preference in wordplay and physical comedy. However, they are quite different, in reality. It's not just the physical differences. Kerris is like a sheet of ice over a volcano, like the one in Iceland. She likes to maintain the placid calm as a form of control and a means of keeping others guessing so that she does not become predictable. This is usually so that the enemy cannot goad her into making a mistake and that she may maintain focus in the heat of the mission, but it also prevents her from just crushing an irritable pain in the ass' face with her bare hands, especially if that person happened to be a higher-ranking officer. It is often difficult to get her to admit that someone is necessarily [i]superior[/i] to her or Maxon unless they show great promise. It is possible to impress Kerris, and the most you have to do to be at least [i]acceptable[/i] to her is not deliberately annoy her...because she WILL give you clear warning not to do that...and then take matters into her own hands if you do. [*] Due to the long nights and heavy of the area, Dranfel of this world were equipped with or born with the genes of the Nocturnum Subspecies to adapt to the darkness. [*] Both of them were raised in the traditions of their people and the knowledge of the homeworld, but at a young age would soon experience the hardships of war...when the Totality attacked. [*] Their family dead and Makintol in the grips of constant battle with the enemy, the two siblings became war orphans, forced to survive on their own amidst the terror and bloodshed...but as they were Dranfel, they began to thrive in combat. [*] Kerris began to develop herself in stealth and secrecy, the deft move and the cuttthroat attack. She would kill, sabotage, create situations that would tip matters in the favor of the Coalition. [*] She was a survivor and a cunning warrior, taking from her foe whenever she could, whether it be life or resources, and living on the battlefield, like her brother. Though he is shorter than Kerris by a foot, his stance sometimes has him even lower to the ground, being one that has mastered his size, shape, and center of gravity to become either an unstoppable force or an immovable object, dependent on his inclination. Like Kerris, he has more subtle scaling and a lack of muzzling, with a curious eye-glow in the light that's typical of one who has evolved from a nocturnal form of the Dranfel's ancestors. Maxon's core body tends to grow more rigid in scaling, however, probably due to a higher level of testosterone in his system. Maxon's attire is a more traditional Dranfel armored vestment with reinforced open-toe allow boots and metallic gauntlets made to fit his more-pronounced clawed hands. His build makes it next-to-impossible to fit anything human on him that would also be practical, so he doesn't go for the comfort level that his sister enjoys. Of course, it also offers more protection over the amount of punishment that their bodies can take, but then he was always the one who could crush an enemy by hand. [color=f7941d][b]Personality:[/b][/color] There are some similarities between Maxon and his sister. Though they are hardened fighters, to a degree, they also care about one another, as family should. Very few arguments erupt between the two, and it seems to always settle, as though there were an unspoken agreement never to escalate any disagreement too far. There is also a certain quirk about the two that may be personal upbringing or may be some exterior influence, but there is a certain classical edge to their mode of speech, like listening to a monologue or conversation from a Legacy of Kain game. That said, there are several stand-out things that separate Maxon from Kerris in mannerisms. For instance, though he is the same age - same generation of eggs - Maxon views himself as the 'big brother' type. His sister is just as capable as he is, but there is a fraternal instinct there that just won't quit. He is generally easy-going with others, as long as they don't make fun of him. Then, [i]his[/i] temperment will show a clear sign of anger, which is your glaring hint to STOP. Maxon may share in his sister's gift for retort, but he prefers to enable somebody else's humility [i]first[/i], and THEN say something witty. Naturally, he saves his TRUE rage and violence for the enemy, so that any normal person crossing him knows that he was going easy on them.
