Due to one thing after another, his creation turned against himself, and after grievous injury, he gave up what remained of himself, his soul and his powers, to the hero who would then triumph over the rogue creation.

Can summon whatever tiny pieces of gold are within a city-sized area around him (preferably gold coins), and launch them like marbles from a slingshot. Carries a black wooden sword, nigh-indestructible but blunt and lightweight.
