Under most circumstances, he seems cool-headed and good-natured, but there's no doubt that he has a merciless streak, considering he way he's ordered bombing attacks on not just demons, but rival human organizations. Also, I appreciate his willingness to coexist with peaceful demons, but isn't tolerating the former Upper 2 a bit too far? And I can't deny enjoying that Tokyo gives its Slayers a lot of slack in how they operate, but isn't allowing the Water Hashira to throw an unchecked tantrum across his territory beyond the pale? And more than that, to actively collaborate with her? Well... I suppose you have to take the good with the bad sometimes. As a person, I guess I don't particularly [i]dislike[/i] him, but Takaya hasn't really given me any reason to call a kid 'master'. She's younger than me, only eighteen, and still already a full Hashira, one that defeated a Demon Consort alone even. Sure, there's not really any better candidates, and [i]sure[/i], there's historically been younger, but even so, credit where it's due. If nothing else, I'll give her props for being a lot more reasonable about her brother's death than his fiance turned out to be. It's understandable to grieve, but in our line of work, isn't this just business as usual? Call me callous if you wish, but we simply can't afford to lose our heads in this line of work. Considering the stranglehold of the Demon King Michikatsu over Japan's Yakuza right now... and considering the reports of how troublesome the police have become... and the fact that 'Xaku' has never been recorded under any open daylight conditions, it stands to reason that she could be some kind of demon, perhaps even a high-ranking one. The Blood Moon Demon Lords are all reportedly males though, so could she be a Demon Consort? Inconclusive. I could look into this more, but a Police Chief is a lot higher profile than most targets. Hell, I could be... Well, I suppose there's no rush for now. For all I know, I'm just crying wolf over nothing. Without confirmation...
