Standing he briefly waited for the [i]Trooper Units[/i] to get into position, then hefting his Greatsword in both hands closed his eyes and invoked his [color=6ecff6][i][b]Lightning Ward[/b][/i][/color] ability... opening his eyes they glowed with an inner electric incandescence... and arcing lightning began to form around him like a nimbus of Sait Elmos' Fire!  The arcing lightning trailed from his sword hilt to his body causing  glow of azure light to emit from himself and the sword.

Switching to a reverse grip on the blade [b]Alaerin[/b] began to walk down the center of the hall... azure light radiated from the nimbus of lightning surrounding him in a glowing aura of power... 

Stray arcs of lighting occasionally struck the floor and statues as he ominously walked down the hall... casting flashing eerie blue light about the chamber from the arcing lightning flashes...
