Having somehow stumbled out of the corruption zone in which it was reborn, this half-warped mess was found and stabilized before being hurled into this quest by Dominimon. With no other options or understanding of what to do, Vemmon goes along with it, hoping to develop or reclaim some sense of identity and purpose.

Shy, withdrawn, and a victim of bullying for most of her childhood, Azumi had practically become a shut-in during her first year of high school. Her parents had never known how to deal with her, and simply left her to her own devices, hoping she’d get her act together. 

Instead, she found streaming. At first, it was just something to do while she played games. Then, Azumi started getting more of an audience. By chance, by appeal, who cared? People were actually [i]paying attention[/i] to her. So she expanded it: updated her setup, paid for a vtuber rig, the whole nine yards. Soon enough, the confidence she’d gained from having an audience inspired her to pull herself out of her shut-in hole and go back to school. She switched schools, did a makeover, and started fresh.

It turned out that pretending to be normal among her peers didn’t make her happy. While Azumi stayed in school and actually graduated, she didn’t feel anything from simply faking it all, and phoned it in the rest of the way through. As soon as she finished high school, Azumi took her earnings from streaming, took her shit, and moved out. There was nothing for her in dealing with conventional society, so she’d go full in on this gig. Too bad it seemed a literal angel had other plans for her…
