[@Cmmelody]: I could've sworn that the gestation cycle was longer for those things, but maybe that's just my memory acting up. Okay, that's one problem solved, then. I wouldn't limit chakra access in that sense, so that problem wouldn't be much of one. 

I do still think that you'd be better off using Shippuden or post-Shippuden Shino, though, because that opens up more for me as a GM to allow your character room to grow outside of what might otherwise be considered 'canon' limitations for reason 3 in particular. Both of those also probably match up to what I'm aware the cast is shaping up to be a bit better in comparison, especially if you plan on amping up his utility like it seems you're planning to do. Either way, it'd be easier to give him buffs in whatever category provided he's got more lived experience in so doing.
