"They're being wiped from existence." he explained, "Gone. Forever. As though they never were and would never be." "Can't they just, I don't know, rebuild them?" she asked hoping such a thing were possible. Enma shook his head, "No. This is not the same as the cycle of creation and destruction. Erasure means nothing is left. Nothing to create from. Nothing to destroy. Nothing. If this continues, all of existence, all worlds, will cease to be. We will cease to be. But, there is hope. Each world has an erosion point, a place where the erasure has started. Find each erasure point, destroy that which is wiping out your worlds, and you will succeed. But, be warned. There are those who seek to aid in the erasure. Both familiar foes and new enemies."
