Congrats to our new CO-GM! Also dropping this here because content wise it's done, just waiting to not be on my phone to work on images/text colours. Initially, this power was uncontrollable, prolonged contact can leave her victims unconscious or even dead. Over time, she has learned to manage it to varying degrees. Rogue permanently absorbed some of Wonder Man's powers, granting her superhuman strength, flight, and near invulnerability. In addition to these formidable powers, she is also a skilled hand-to-hand combatant, trained by the cult of Brother Blood and now the X-men ◼ Nightcrawler Nightcrawler has ability to teleport, disappearing and reappearing in a puff of blue smoke and the scent of brimstone. He can teleport himself, others, and objects over short to medium distances with great precision, using his acrobatic agility and spatial awareness to enhance his combat style. Nightcrawler also possesses superhuman reflexes, wall-crawling abilities, and a prehensile tail that he uses effectively in battle. A former circus performer, he combines his teleportation skills with unmatched acrobatics and fencing talent, making him both graceful and deadly in combat. ◼ Gambit Gambit has the ability to charge objects, typically playing cards, with explosive kinetic energy, causing them to detonate on impact. His mutant power allows him to manipulate kinetic energy with precision, making him a formidable fighter both at range and in close combat. A master thief trained by the Thieves’ Guild, Gambit is exceptionally skilled in stealth, acrobatics, and hand-to-hand combat, often wielding a collapsible bo staff as his weapon of choice[/sup] -

As many great men of good and ill have claimed over the years, Charles Xavier had a dream. The foremost public scholar on the developing nature of the human genome perceived a world in which the Children of the Atom, the nascent mutants, could live side by side with the population from which they had grown. He fought for said dream, granted it to others and on many occasions looked to be proven wrong. But as with many movements, it is not the wise who will end up bearing the torch, but the young. A generation of Xavier's X-Men have come and gone, taught within the halls of the nascent Xavier Institute and making their impact on the world, for better or worse, in the pursuit of that dream of community. Whatever Xavier's efforts may have initially failed to solve the problem of mutant/human relations in the first iteration of his team and school, it succeeded at the task that was most important to him, the creation of further generations of mutants willing to put their trust in some version of his dream. Each is a personal success of Xavier's, even if he is currently lost to them, a testament to the man's conviction that with the right guidance, anyone, regardless of their mutation, can be a force for good. The current crop of X-Men demonstrates this most readily in a manner which leaves many moderate voices questioning if there might not be more palatable holders of the mantle. A woman redeemed from a child soldier in a parasitic death cult, a prince of thieves and a man with the visage of a demon are hardly the most compromise-focused selection yet that itself was a deliberate choice. While the X-Men pursue an idea of living side by side with humanity, this is not at the cost of their own identities. Three is an unusually small number for the X-Men, but I intend to play into this with the ability to add additional mutant members to the team as their adventures continue, as is typical of the X-Men in finding and protecting mutants as their powers become known. As it has been previously mentioned in the RP, the Xavier Institute is present and remains a place of learning, preparation and safety. The X-men themselves are still very much students of the Institute as well as being the team used to respond to threats and perform duties expected of the X-Men. Despite still holding the name, Charles himself is MIA as a plot line I would hope to collaborate on with other mutant players. Each of the current X-men have significant demons in their past and I am hoping to demonstrate that simply calling yourself heroes doesn’t neccesarily make that the case in the eyes of others, nor do the forces of cults and crime syndicates give up their hooks so easily. A key difference between the backgrounds of these characters and canon is rather then being raised by Mystique, Rogue was instead raised as a part of Brother Blood's cult, the primary means by which he intended to absorb the powers required to fulfill his ambitions to steal the abilities of other beings. This is mostly as a way to bridge this Marvel focused team into the DC aspects of the setting but also a potential tie in to potential Titans plotlines if the game does go in that direction.
