Tessa inhaled when Luther became assailed. Fortunately, he was able to fend off the vampires before she could react. Her heart skipped a beat and she inhaled sharply. Fury and fear rose inside of her. Her eyes glowed brightly with amber, and then she transformed into a lycan. She howled loudly, and began forcefully pushing past a few vampires. She nodded and started to transform so she could howl to attract Dom’s attention. Was he here alone? She sniffed the air. It smelled like Vex.

Just then, a chokehold interrupted her transformation. Agonizing pain shot through her and blind her as fangs ripped into her shoulder. A frenzy of vampires began tearing at her. Tessa shrieked and headbutted the one behind her. The vampire–male, by the voice–yelled out in pain. Tessa thrashed and kicked at a few vampires while struggling to free herself. 

Pain blinded her as the venom coursed through her. Tessa focused on transforming, and managed to kick them off. She whirled around, then lunged at the vampires. Blood poured out of her mouth as she bit into the vampires and tore them apart. Once free, she transformed back into a human. Breathless, dizzy, and terrified, she grabbed a match from her bag and her lighter. With difficulty, she tried to light it. However, in desperation, she managed to and thrust the burning matches at the nearest vampires. 

[color=#DE83B3]”Get back!”[/color] She yelled dizzily, and grabbed onto Luther for support. [color=#DE83B3]”Good grief! Can you see a way out? I can’t.”[/color] 

Tessa pointed to his back and to herself, then back at him. Tessa gasped for air, but did not allow herself to look helpless. Jumping onto Luther's back was the fastest way out of here. [color=#DE83B3]”Mind if I hitch a ride?”[/color] [/color]
