And thank you, that clears it up a bit! I'm assuming she'll have to sing (mostly) to maintain her avatar state instead of one verse and done kinda thing?

Sounds good! I think human form with mundane, cat form when singing at all, other powers/other shapeshifting only when sung deliberately to activate (like singing about being a bodybuilder then becoming one etc). I think that should work. 

So being avatar doesn't now allow pets to be used, but need to be avatar and singing still. 


And also don't believe that to be a bad idea, sounds good :)
