Surprisingly, April just ate every punch without so much as flinching, and that was impressive. She didn't think April would've been able to take many of those, and she looked so fucking badass. Standing there, bruised to hell and not giving a fuck, despite the danger around her. God, April was amazing. She looked- Okay, maybe she should wait until after the fight was over to start having those thoughts. Fuck. Operation Discoball... Yeah! Leah raised her fists and ripped the sand from the water pooling around her. It looked like the mud had just turned into a tidal wave, swallowing Kate whole and grinding away at her as if she were a piece of metal. Most people thought of water as the thing that eroded other things, but sand particles were so small that they really didn't need a lot of momentum to strip paint and rust away. But a small sandstorm's worth of it, moving under Leah's power? Yeah, that shit hurt. Kate looked ready to drop dead. "Luna! Zap the sand!" Another poorly-known fact about sand was it held static very well. All those particles moving around in the air, constantly rubbing against each other and flaking off... It was enough that some superheroes could do some fun things with it in certain circumstances. Like, for example, zapping a nepo-baby. Wasting zero time, Leah whirled around and punched the ground. "On it! Cascade, Get back!" A crack split down into the dirt, snaking off into the distance between April and the two tanks of the YA. It went past them, and along it rose up a plateau of stone... In the wrong fucking direction. She must've moved too fast, or maybe it was unreasonable to assume April took those hits like a champion after all. Because rather than put a wall between them, she put it underneath her. And then April went fucking flying for a field goal. For a brief moment, Leah couldn't feel her heart in her chest. She could probably handle a fall like that normally, but in her state? Best not to fucking chance it. Shit, damn- Fucking- "Fuuuuuck. Odysseus! Grab her if you can!"
