“Four?!” Her number whisper-hissed, outraged. How could it be, an infidel stealing and using a God’s gift? Of course, God was ever gracious…It was a test for them, he was sure. They had to enact his will. The mention of a terror attack drew Five out of his headspace. His stare turned toward the general, a soft susurration of chains clinking as he shifted. “Yes, Your Excellency.” “Yes, Your Excellency,” he and Mary complied immediately at the bishop’s order, replying in sync. Five noticed the smile, returning it in kind alongside the stare. His handler averted her gaze, a tad shy, but peeked at the old man with a pleased smile playing about her lips. However…she did not forget about the four stolen artifacts. He and Five hadn’t heard about a break in. She knew their superiors had been oddly nonresponsive for a while. Something was going on. She didn’t know what, exactly, but she had a terrifying suspicion. If what she thought was the case, the Church would need all the help it could get. Five and Mary exchanged glances. She nodded at him, and he inclined his head in response. When the archbishop made out of the war room, she stood up on silent feet to follow. Mary glanced at 9's handler, saying simply, “Please look after Micah a bit.” When she reached the bishop, she bowed to him. She offered to escort him, then respectfully waited in the hallway while he led 11 and her handler into another office. Mary had noticed Valentine – unlike the bishop, her gaze had lingered on the strange woman. While his handler was off doing her own thing, Five remained in the war room. His gaze travelled from 7 to her handler, to 9 and their warden, then finally to the general. “Excuse me, sir,” he spoke up, soft and polite. “Who should we speak to about the city’s protection?” It made sense he was assigned to this post – had he not been so concerned about the artifacts, he’d have requested to be stationed to the protection of at least their HQ himself. As it was, Five could only hope the others would safely retrieve the Holy Bow. Perhaps, after the first one, he could help with the others… But first things first. There were defenses to take care of, and the sooner he started working on setting up the barriers, the better off they’d be. Coordinating with 7 and 9 should make rooting out any suspects simpler too, he imagined. It wasn’t as vital as the artifact, but he was rather looking forward to working with his siblings in the city’s defense. It would be nice to have someone who could not only keep up, but enhance his abilities. Together, there was much they could do.
