Renard Benoit

"Good call Rook, Little Bird having a way to signal sharp and loud never hurts." Renard nodded along, eyes and head still sweeping their surroundings. He had his spear in a high grip, readily usable in one hand, his other hanging close to the throwing knives. He was expecting an ambush, so the longer one didn't came, the less happy he was. Still though, Lady reiterated her name from before, glancing over with an amused smile. Yes, he recalled her name, but no one ever got called their name. There was no fun in that, besides, everyone got a nickname. That was the rule. Still, he did at least respond, sounding cheerful despite being about to walk into a nest of goblins. "Oh I heard you the first time Lady, don't worry. It is still nice to meet you though." Renard began moving with a sense of purpose once the group reached an agreement and started moving into the fort. Seemed the Goblins weren't keen, or willing, to man the outer walls. Something to be said for that, if you were passing an abandoned ruin and saw goblins manning the walls it would stand out a lot more. Something to be said for going unnoticed, which could be what they were going for instead. Besides, unless you knew they were there, getting ambushed was absolutely easier than one might expect. Still, being aware and ready would help dissuade a lot of that, and once he got a good look at the interior he would know how much room he had to work with, how far up to choke up on his spear, the works. He was assuming narrow passages and little room to work, it was the worst case scenario, so an improvement would be welcome at least. "They really made themselves at home, can't say the decor is winning any awards anytime soon though." Renard was true to his word, though, and keeping an eye on the flanks of their little group, glances forward to confirm nothing was coming that Lady or one of the other two had missed. He was keeping that ready stance from before, ideally ready to respond to several incoming goblins at the same time. If one of the others did something drastic he would have to adapt, but until then, it was keep an eye out for goblins, traps, general trouble for all of them, or probably all of the above.
