Thank you everyone for the warm welcomes! I confess I have been feeling quite a bit of anxiety about initiating PMs with people. It kind of feels like knocking on a stranger's door and asking them to support my fundraiser. I'm not sure quite what to say, and I don't want to leave a bad first impression. I've been searching for guides to help my confidence, but I haven't seen anything regarding PM etiquette yet. I've been working on a draft of a more-detailed inquiry I've been thinking about posting in the Roleplaying Discussions subforum. With that said, [@themaybreeze], I am intrigued by your suggestion. I've never gotten terribly far into a 1x1, so I'm not certain about what a good process for brainstorming narratives that work well for two writers looks like. I don't exactly have any particular great OCs that I'm looking to use, nor impressive original settings that are fleshed out and ready for being written in. I suppose Fandoms can fill in for those things, although that is not my preference, especially with regards to characters (I struggle to get into the heads of sufficiently deep non-OC characters enough to feel comfortable portraying them accurately). It might help me overcome my fear of initiating PMs if I am the one to initiate the private conversation, but if you are still interested in a potential 1x1, let me know here I suppose as to what your expectations for what that initial message should look like.
