The bandit in front of me was grinning, thinking he could hold me here while his friends dragged her away. Thinking this was some kind of game.

He was wrong.

His blade bounced off my shield. My turn.

I brought my longsword around in a hard arc, putting all my weight and the strength of my draconic arm behind it. The blade sang through the air, aimed right at him.
