Grima
Level 4 23/40 EXP Location: Esaka - The Pools Wordcount: 410 (+1) ROUND 2, FIGHT Grima’s taunts didn’t seem to phase Nakoruru at all as the girl dashed forward, the hawk at her side diving at the same time to speed ahead of her… Only to swerve to the side of Grima just before they collided, their attack simply a feint to distract Grima. Yet the vessel did not fall for it, merely letting the bird try to catch her attention and instead casually blocking Nakoruru’s blade with her own, her red eyes narrowed in sheer focus. This time, the dance of blades was far more onesided. Though not as embarrassing as Grima’s last fight, seeing as Nakoruru was able to land a few glancing blows upon the Fell Dragon, it was clear that Grima had figured out Nakoruru’s own fighting style. Each dash, each swift swipe of the blade was met by Grima’s own, her steel swishing through the air as she fended off both steel and claw from multiple angles before counting with small blasts of dark magic; designed to be fast enough to catch Nakoruru on their retreats. Eventually however, the fight reached its crescendo as the hawk flew forth at Grima’s seemingly open back to give Nakoruru an opening… Only for Grima to catch it by its throat, tendrils of dark magic immediately wrapping around its body to prevent it from flying away, “That is enough out of you” Grima states, her sword swinging to parry Nakoruru’s desperate strike at her side before she simply tosses the bird to the ground, having taken just enough lifeforce to knock it unconscious for a few moments. It was in that moment that Nakoruru leapt forth, bringing her kodachi down in a stabbing motion. Unfortunately for her, Grima simply stepped to the side, spinning her own body around to grab the back of Nakoruru’s head, a small orb of darkness forming in it and then erupting, smashing her face first into the arena floor. KO GRIMA WINS A few moments pass as the announcement rings out, both Nakoruru and her hawk unconscious on the ground whilst Grima took a few moments to breathe, shaking off the hand she had used to cast the final spell, “Yet another failure. Children should know their place, but I suppose mortals can’t help but try to be more” with a dismissive flick of her sword, Grima sheathes it back at her hip, turning on her heel to walk away once more.
