[@Half Pint] the only real deal breaker for compatibility is that "The Lantern corps arent known to the Earth or its agencies." Because the plan of the bad guy relies on exploiting a bunch of backwater rubes that the galaxy doesnt care about. And, as in most Fiction, Earth fits the bill.
