COMPOSITE /// CORDILLERA /// FLARE
Alexander found himself sitting on the interview couch. It had been a while since he had been in front of the cameras. He supposed it was about time. He grumbled a little but didn’t fight it. Katherine had given him a bright smile and a pat on the arm. Alexander stifled the urge to roll his eyes. He could almost hear Katherine’s thoughts that she had finally managed to house train him. He sighed and looked towards his host as Katherine moved off set.
Aurora: “Welcome Alexander Knight from Team Valkyrie AGR Sport. It has been some time since we checked in with the team principals. Our question for you is… is the season going the way you thought it would?”
Alexander laughed outright, unable to hide his mirth. She made it sound like he had planned to be here working in racing again this year. That had not been something he had foreseen. He finally managed to get his amusement under control. His blue eyes catching the light shining with amusement and intelligence. Alexander: “Sorry that struck me as funny since I had no idea I would even return to racing before the start of the season. I didn’t exactly have months to plan what I would do this season. The season is not going anything like I expected. There have certainly been challenges and obstacles to remove from the team’s path to success. I feel confident that the team is making good progress. Paul is developing into a world class pilot. Dorian remains consistent in adding to our points. Considering where we started the season, I feel the team has made lots of positive gains. I have made no secret of the fact that my long term goal is long term success for the team.” Alexander gave a shark-like grin full of teeth directly into the camera when he made his next statement. He knew that the other team principals would take it as a direct challenge. “I think it is time that another team dominates the sport and challenges Silver Apex. I want Team Valkyrie to be one of those teams competing for the championship next year. So all the work we are doing this year is to prepare for next year’s season where we plan to be a challenging force to be reckoned with.”
DELTΔ HYPER

Episode Fourteen: The Tango Swing

Round 14 of Formula AG Friday 29th September, 2094 Practice Day Autodromo Buenos Aires, Argentina Argentine AGP 1100 UTC-3

Wrong Way Up
Paul found himself strapped into a couch attached to a gravity generator that held him upside down on the track. For safety he had a seatbelt strapped across his thighs to keep him on the Delta Hyper Couch. For once Paul didn’t look effortless put together. His hair which normally lay effortlessly stylish was hanging down in chaotic waves. Paul was cursing softly under his breath as he finished strapping himself into this setup. Paul: “Whose demented brain did this idea come from?” He didn’t sound happy or amused to be hanging upside down. Aurora’s cheerful chirpy voice made Paul want to hit something. At this moment, he found her highly irritating.
Aurora: "Paul, welcome to the southern hemisphere, so to return, we put the sofa the way you might see it from Belgium! With the Junior FIAR grid not often going to circuits with the extreme amounts of inversion and MAG tracking as the cutting edge Buenos Aires circuit, what do you think you can do with a ship that so far this year, seems to be a cut above in handling?"
Paul looked like a grumpy cat as he gave his answer. “Well Aurora, we will all find out together during the race. I believe my performance will continue to improve and deliver results for my team. Can I get down now?” Escape from this dog and pony show. He had never felt more like a talking poodle than he did during this interview. The shit they came up with to entertain the masses and subjected the pilots too… Normally Paul found it amusing and fun. Not this time.

La París de Sudamérica
Paul was sticking close to their hotel. He was doing his best to avoid distractions and stay focused on why he was here in Buenos Aires. He did want to meet up with Bea. He was hopeful for a long term friendship. He had a lot in common with Beatrix. His security had been nervous about the Argentina race. Paul had not quite understood their warnings about rabid fans. He just went with the flow and tried not to give his security team an aneurysm. Paul had met with Carmella and the engineers. They had a few things they wanted to try during practice. They had all met to go over the plan for the practice run. The team was worried once again about heat and humidity. Paul would be getting preloaded on electrolytes just before the race. Paul and Dorian looked over the track and discussed the areas where overtakes might happen. They talked about ELS strategies. Paul shared Alexander’s wisdom in that area and how they might exploit ELS better. Paul was already chugging electrolytes to keep himself hydrated. Paul and Carmella had discussed strategy and the plan was for Paul to start with a preloaded ELS battery and capacitor. Paul had to time when he would use the energy carefully to make the most of that advantage.
Paul looked over Bea’s reply to his text message with a confused look. Any recommendations on where to start? What are we doing while in your town for the race? I need to know what to pack. > I’m versatile. Bring what looks interesting/fun to you, we’ll figure it out as we go. I have some stuff at the factory too, so I can supplement. > Maybe pack the therapist. And if you show up with a primary school art supplies box, I will laugh at you and neither you, I or god can stop that. 😛 > 😛My therapist doesn’t travel with the team. She suggested art therapy. I was asking for help because it looks like my stick figures are trying to eat each other. [Shares an image where you can’t really tell what the stick figures are doing or trying to represent] > I thought I missed a group message about what we were doing while in Carerra’s hometown for a race. I thought everyone was hosting a dinner or something when the race was in their team’s hometown. I missed the memo because there wasn’t one. I feel like an idiot.
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1zrLx5XUgYiVm6KjTpFTWZtJvXc0MX77enkLzINHujKw/edit?gid=0#gid=0
