Any Marvel/DC Roleplay is going to be fanfiction. We're taking existing characters we're fans of and writing fiction about them. Even with the collaborative aspect, it's fanfiction, just collaborative fanfiction. I would also never knock fanfiction. I've spent 8 years building what is, essentially, a giant Elder Scrolls collaborative fanfiction. First and foremost, we all enjoy this hobby and can enjoy it in the way we like, whether that's solo or with others. For example, and not to call out - Roman set out what he wanted to do and was more than transparent about his intentions. He wrote his 10 part Hellblazer series, and it was actually incredible and anyone who enjoys this hobby in any way should read it and get inspired. That's why I do this, to slowly leech away at all of my favourite writers talents by being in proximity to them. I would hope we are not brushing off spectacular writing, and efforts made by creative individuals over whether they do, or do not collaborate. We are all writing Fanfiction here, and there is not a thing wrong with it.
