Crystal found it rather amusing how her father tried to be stern with her in front of their guest. They both knew that this was her usual way of speaking to strangers, didn't matter if you were a peasant or royalty, you get the same treatment from the Princess. Her only exceptions were people much younger than her and animals. Hmph. She ate another spoonful of her soup, almost spitting it out when Irina said something about her being beautiful. She looked at the girl, who was now facing her with a grin, out of the corner of her eye. Though Crystal was listening intently to the tale told by the knight, she continued to eating, her facial expression remaining unchanged during most of the story. Of course it came to her as no surprise at how the honorable Irina had been treated by her male counterparts, every Kingdom but Alegasia was extremely sexist, and that is how most societies preferred it. Her father did not enforce such rules on women that kept that locked to beds and kitchens, but despite this, a lot of the noble and middle-classed people of Alegasia liked to keep things more traditional. A maid poured the Princess her second glass of wine, and Crystal thanked her with an appreciative smile. Bringing the glass to her lips, she paused as her father chimed in after Irina. Her eyebrows rose suspiciously at his words, she knew he had something up his sleeve and that she would not like it one bit. Every time they had a guest over he always needed to "speak more of this in private." Crystal inhaled deeply, holding her breath and counting to five to give herself some time to calm down before she went into full interrogation mode. The King knew she hated being left out of the loop, and more than that she absolutely hated surprises. Crystal held the wine glass to her lips and intending to only take a sip, she winded up downing the whole thing like it was nothing. She bit her bottom lip, slightly embarrassed by the raised eyebrow her father gave her, telling her with his eyes no more. She obeyed her fathers wishes, as she was already feeling quite drunk already and didn't want to make a spectacle of herself...again. She went to place the wine glass down and reached for her water, but when she went to do that her elbow knocked into Irina's glass and sent all of the liquid onto the knight's lap. "Ah!" She hiccuped, placing a hand over her mouth and blushing deeply at what she'd just done. Crystal reached for a quilted napkin, and frantically patted away at the mess she'd made all over her guest. "I'm s-sorry! Why was your glass right there?!" She exclaimed nervously, her whole face red with embarrassment.
