Considering that they're all equally effective, the main difference is that the normal way will work on both material and immaterial beings, so your humans and also your wisps, for example. 

The magic way is easiest, but also the most draining on the one doing it, and won't work on every being. Any that are from a universe where things are purely material and haven't been altered to be partially immaterial themselves won't be able to go through that method.

The scientific way is the most boring and requires the most pre-prepared resources to do, but it's also mostly hand-off, and it can work on multiple at the same time.

Really, it depends on your use case. For now, they're all useful, and we can always go over the others another time, so just pick what you think would be most interesting, for now.
