They would definitely follow Hinotora's suggestions, yeah. She's a slayer, after all.

Regarding how would they fight, staying true to the whole 'theme', the monks are more likely to fight defensively instead of trying to attack Ryoshu. As long as they fight defensively and avoid unnecessary losses, they are in advantageous terrain if a demon ends up invading the temple. Sure, an upper moon is VERY strong, but he still would have some trouble invading the main temple... Unless he destroys the entire temple (and risks damaging the blue spider lilies inside lol)

Most of the valuable resources produced by the temple are stored in their vaults, deep within the temple. Ryoshu is trying to rush to seek the blue spider lilies but he would most definitely meet heavy resistance by the monks outside and the ones inside the actual building using it as a fortress. A handful of monks went to protect the barrier demons (hoping they would put up the barrier again), but the majority are still focusing on protecting the main shrine.

Assuming Kōshin wasn't trapped inside Mina's Blood Demon Art (if she targeted the group instead of just Ryunosuke), he would also go to defend the shrine as well. Otherwise, I could still contribute on the collab by just writing a bit for the monks. Or if you would prefer to do it yourself, go ahead :-)
