There was far less of a reaction to the brutal demise of the enemy NPC from Doc. They looked at the falling foe with apathy, and their facial expression hardly changed when loot notice flashed onto the screen before them. They seemed equally unempathetic to the tension in Geos voice when he tried to play it cool. Doc was simply unaware of his concerns, the lack of facial expressions visible to the tired hunter certainly did not help. They had spent hours punching their way through these grunts, hearing them express their pain, bloodying noses and bruising cheeks. If anything Geo’s bloodier method of taking out enemies was mercy. Doc tried to match the excitement his ally had over their loot but deep down inside he was frustrated. The battle went much quicker and smoother than if he had done it himself, but now they were splitting the exp and loot. “Yeah, maybe you're right. I might even be able to get a new staff after this dungeon… stave? Whatever” he said with a forced chuckle. Once more Geo began to swing his spear about, preparing to kite in another one of these peons. This one pulled out a hatchet, much like the random one they had aggroed before they showed up here. Similar to that foe, this one charged with shocking tenacity. Unlike the more cautious spear man’s defensive approach, this one at least at Geo once he got close. He spear came flying at his shoulder, but he tucked himself in and let the blade narrowly nick him, forming a thin gash that began to leak a deep crimson ooze of blood. Beggar bandit takes 5 damage! Unfortunately, Geo was now on the defensive. The axeman had closed the gap and cleared the range of the spear. His hatchet was fast and short, and he swung it wildly at Geo. Clearly an untrained fighter relying on recklessness and tenacity. Doc stepped around them hastily, trying to circle their foe. Without a weapon of his own and without any armor, they weren't much help in a fight like this. Still, if they could get behind the enemy, then they’d be able to strike hard and fast. Geo just needed to hold out until then. Once in position, Doc rushed in and grabbed the nappy hair of the beggar, pulling him away fast, causing them to lose their balance and yelp in pain. “Get him, quick!” Doc called out.
