Renard chuckled easily, falling into formation readily as the group moved past the boundary of the Fort's outer limits and walls themselves. Less clutter, by goblin standards, the waste pushed away in favor of a growing collection of bones. Trophies, of a sort, growing in size. Little Bird had the other flank, Lady in the lead, and Rook behind. Good kids, even if Lady was a bit on the arrogant side, they'd get this whole thing figured out someday. Hell, they might manage it before he did, though not if he had anything to say about it. Finally, his ears perked up at the all too recognizable sound of goblins, a mix of high pitch and attempts at thicker rasps. Unconsciously, he slipped a throwing knife out of the bandolier, hefting one in his off hand, though that was relative.

Soon enough, some of the goblins were sharp enough to actually be looking around. Forays into the dark, like any sentry or guard should, though he doubted it was by any sense of, well, anything noble or true. They were still goblins, after all, and armed about as well as one would expect for this kind of grungy lot. Kitchen knives, sharpened bones, whatever was sharp, pointy, and could do damage to an unaware novice or unprepared scholar. None of which were present in current company, fortunately for them, but Renard was not one to simply wait for the rest of the group to engage. Confirming there was no traps lingering along the ground, the Hundi hurled his throwing knife for the first goblin they saw, a lunging thrust aimed for the second scout with spear in hand, aiming to roll in any additional scouts towards the center of the corridor. Right into the waiting hammer of the Paladin. This is where the fun began, even if it was only goblins, he could at least get some throwing practice in.
