Quaint... To put it politely. Rustic would be another word that may have been apt to use. Still, it had everything you needed for a ferry-dock. A fishing hut for those people who wanted to enjoy the thrilling excersise of tricking a poor pokemon to bite a metal hook and then pull them out of their natural habitat, a bunch of benches where one could sit and pass the time by doing absolutely nothing, and... Well... That was pretty much it. The ticket booth, maybe, was another fixture? Kind of impressive that they could keep this whole shin-dig operational when they charged such a miniscule fee for travel. Then again, if at least a hundred people used the ferry each day, that sum would add up eventually. Regardless, Evelyn spent very little time actually waiting at the docks. In what felt like a fast-forwarded time-lapse sequence, the boat soon arrived and ropped off its current load of passengers, before allowing the new flock from StarBURR to enter aboard - including our heroine! The young blonde trainer opted for a comfortable seat by a window, rather than enjoying the breezy fresh air of the outdoor parts of the ship. Mostly becauwse it was just soooooo much comfier sitting on a padded chair, inside, shielded from the elements, rather than standing out in the splishy-splashy waves that were sending unfiltered lake water splashing about and gusts of wind making your hair an absolute mess! No thanks. Indoors suits this lil' lady just fine~ One Ferry Ride later... As the boat began to close in on the destination, Eve's eyes looked out the window - happy to see something other than the the placid lake's surface and the distant grandeur of untamed wilderness. The sight of a town, and one that was so preciously decorated, was a welcome and appreciated sight to behold. It was even more appreciated when the girl stepped out of the ferry and onto dry land again, and was greeted by the pleasantly fragrant and floral scents that wafted through the air. Now, this was more like it! No giant-ass trees blocking the sky and making it seem like nighttime, no creepy crawly bug-types running around everywhere, no soda bottle-glasses wearing bug-nerds roaming the enire area.... Yeah, this was definitely more Eve's kind of place. ... Well, at least more so than that StarBURR place. She could have done without the marathoning musicians and their back-and-forth game of musical tag... Sure, it added a lot of personality to the place and was enjoyable for a bit, but when you go from one genre to a completely different one, and different levels of musical talent and skill, the outcome isn't exactly a coherently enjoyable experience - at least not for those of us with a bit of class and good taste. Not that we're pointing fingers or anything here. Ahem~ Wandering quietly down the streets, admiring the scenery and smells, Eve waas momentarily lost in her own little world, forgetting about such unpleasant things like having to dive into mud or just barely avoiding decapitation by some green-scythed menace. Just a young lass, enjoying the surroundings and atmosphere, strolling leisurely down a street with no particular goal or destination in mind. But, as she stepped past a potted plant on the ground, the girl paused. Looking down, there was a cute little pup-like pokemon sleeping snuggly next to it. The sight elicited a stereotypical 'Aaaaaaaaaawwwww~' from the girl. Alas, she restrained herself from disturbing the creature. Looking around though, she noted the other common critters roaming the township. Another kind of bug - though this one was at least musically inclined - along with some kind of rat-thing that looked like it'd had WAY too much coffeee. These latter two variants did not spur any interest in the teen though, and she proceeded on her aimless walk. "Huh, I never looked around Stararbor for any rarer kinds of pokemon, did I?" She mused to herself ponderously lost in her own daydreaming reality. "I should check around here, just in case." With that said, Eve decided to have a more in-depth investigation of this Florasong Town, to see if she could find anything that caught her eye in terms of pokemon. There was also the intriguing place knwon as Aria's Park, which was a must see location for someone like Evelyn. Thus...! Evelyn is searching around Florasong Town for rarer kinds of pokemon. She also intends to visit Aria's Park.
