She accepted the gift, moving it around in her hand. She half expected it to move on its own, possibly be a self-writing pen that listened to her thoughts and then if that were the case did it ever turn off would it start writing down her thoughts on how cute Cal was or how she had been thinking of his lap more than a normal person should and maybe she should shut up now. But the pen remained still. Cassie sat back in her seat, observing everyone now. Notably something was going on between Nick and Professor Mikkail. The former had a tinge of anger in his words, almost accusatory. Professor Mikkail, to his credit, seemed to speak in a calmer, kinder tone in response, though Cassie didn't know what was being said. The name Paedrus came around though and Cassie knew that name had something to do with Nick. Was it his actual name? If so, why hide it? Perhaps it had something to do with the subject of witch hunts and maybe it was triggering for Nick. Cassie remained silent though, allowing the vibes to reset as Professor Mikkail wrote on the chalkboard. Cassie looked to the others, hoping they would jump in next. She didn't want to be a teacher's pet and answer all questions immediately. That wasn't cool, that wasn't how this was done. Would it impress Cal? Would it make her friends or enemies? This was her coven and surely that meant something, but she didn't want to rock the boat. Cal, thankfully, spoke up with a good idea. The library was filled with knowledge and Cassie, admittedly, was chomping at the bit to see what sorts of tomes and lore was held up in this school's library. "I imagine history would be a good place to start. Perhaps reading up on religion also." She shifted, not wanting to appear too eager to follow Cal. Plus, she wanted to remain cool and aloof.
