About Me: I am a 30+ year old female from the USA. Autistic, with ADHD. I used to role-play a lot when I was younger. Recently, I've been writing a lot of fanfiction and wanted to try role-playing again because I miss human interaction. About You: 21+, at least a casual writer The fantasy tag: I mean mild fantasy. I don't think I'm up for anything epic, but more modern with elements of fantasy thrown in. Currently looking for M/M role plays! I want something cute and wholesome right now, like a meet-cute slice of life type of thing, friends-to-lovers, maybe something that starts with a holiday vibe. Really, just anything that will give us some warm and fuzzy feelings. I am fine with mature explicit sexual content. I tend to gravitate toward characters who are bottoms in an m/m relationship, so I would like a partner who enjoys writing for the top character. Ideas: Any idea can be made more interesting by throwing in mild fantasy elements like magic, magical species...etc. Blind Lessons, Love Blooms
MC's family decide to vacation at a wintery ski resort around the holiday times, but pretty much abandons MC to wander around the lodge because MC is blind. He's used to being left out. His family never really tried to make accommodations for him. It doesn't even occur to them that MC could absolutely learn to ski if he had a skiing guide partner. YC works for the lodge or is another guest and notices MC sitting around, walking around with his pet dog. It's not uncommon for guests to bring their animals, so they don't clock that MC is blind right away, but they are curious why he never goes skiing. YC works for the lodge or is a guest YC: 20s, gay, romantic YC: You can come up with his backstory/his other qualities MC: 18, gay, blind, friendly MC: Family were never that hands-on or affectionate, so he is touch starved around the few friends he has MC: Daydreams a lot, wants a fairytale romance, like in the audiobooks he reads MC: Has a black labrador guide dog Interesting note: My dad is blind, which is one of the reasons I have an interest in exploring the world of a blind character.
Double Booked
MC: Popular author of children and adult novels. Has a middle grade fantasy series, and a adult, more spicy gay romance series under another penname MC: Rents a cabin during the snowy season for a few months to do some distraction free writing. YC: You pick their backstory and why they’d want to rent and live solo at a cabin for a few months YC: Rents cabin on the same dates as MC. The cabin is double booked and there are no other cabins available. Our characters decide to share the rental. I’d like for it to be kind of a meet cute. Perhaps, instant attraction clouds their better judgement when they decide to share, because they don’t think about how unsafe it could be to share a place with a stranger. Wholesome, fluff, winter/Chistmas-y vibes, falling in love fast, kind of taken aback by how they easily get alone and feel like they’ve known each other for a long time. If we want to go the cliche route, perhaps they were childhood friends and they figure that out eventually.
Accidental Bond
In a world where magic is real, MC somehow gets bound to another person, either through a spell gone wrong or a magical artifact. This is a vague idea that we can expand on!
The Last Book - Author/Fan
MC is a writer who likes to go to bookstores and people-watch, seeing if his book is being bought. He sees YC going to buy the last copy of his latest book, but it gets snatched by another person. MC is shy about people knowing he is the author, but he is compelled to approach YC, who looks visibly upset to have missed out. MC offers to give YC a copy of the book. As is the nature of meet-cutes, they are drawn to each other, but at first, YC wonders if MC is trying to scam him and declines the offer. MC realizes that he should have led with the fact that he was the author.
Nanny Needed
Yes, this is inspired by The Nanny tv show. YC is famous CEO, Producer/Writer of (YC last name) Productions, a Broadway Company. YC used to be in a lavender marraige with a best friend. YC and their marriage partner decided to have children and raise them together. YC’s marriage partner recently passed away, leaving two children with YC. YC decided to hire a live-in nanny to help with the children. MC is a recent college graduate, down on his luck. He works at a fast food joint and can’t find work related to his degree. He answers the ad for the live-in nanny. The job seems too good to be true and despite his lack of child-raising skills, MC is hired. You play: Dad, one of the kids, Dad’s assistant (not exactly a butler, but similar… think Nigel from The Nanny) I play: Nanny, one of the kids, YC’s driver Note: Driver and "Butler" can be a M/M side pairing! The kids are female(10), male (15) YC: Around 36 MC: 21
Writing Sample
This would be for the Blind Lessons, Love Blooms role play -- Tobias clutched Maxwell’s leash, his heart racing as he walked through the lodge with his parents and older sister. He heard children laughing and yelling as they ran around them, while their parents shouted, their footfalls clacking on the lodge's tile flooring. There was a fire burning nearby. He could hear the comforting crackling and smell the deep aroma of smoky burning wood, pine and the earthy undertones of ash. The scents and sounds of the fireplace were quite relaxing. Tobias wondered if there was a sofa near that he could sit on and feel the warmth. “Why are you just standing there?” his mom asked curtly. “We’ve got a schedule to keep. Lisa, help him get to his room.” His sister groaned. “Why me? I want to ski sooner rather than later.” “I’m fine,” Tobias said, though it wasn’t true. Someone needed to walk him and Maxwell around the lodge to better understand the layout. It was the story of his life to get to go somewhere amazing, like a ski lodge, get a half-assed tour, and then get left behind while the rest of his family went to have fun. ‘I bet I could ski…’ Tobias thought glumly. ‘Well, if someone wanted to take the time to guide me.’ In the end, his father was the one who walked him around, but he complained the whole way. Now, two days into his super awesome vacation, all he and Maxwell got to do was wander around the lodge, sit by the fireplace and sometimes, if he got brave, he went outside and let Maxwell lead him around, trusting the dog to keep him safe. Tobias had commands he could use to get Maxwell to take him back to the lodge. Sometimes, he wanted to let Maxwell walk him miles and miles and never return. With a sigh, Tobias took out his earbuds, putting them in his pocket. The audiobook was dull. He wished the story would hurry up and get to the part where the prince is rescued by the dashing bandit, but it was an annoying slow burn. Tobias was bored, not to mention lonely. With nothing else to do, he leaned back on the sofa, closed his eyes and daydreamed that he was the prince with evil parents who trapped him in a tower. In his daydream, nobody in the kingdom ever got to lay eyes on him. Then, one day, someone stumbled upon his tower and made it their mission to rescue the poor prince trapped within. ‘My fantasies are so original,’ Tobias thought, feeling amused, which was better than feeling lonely, at least.
I'm also up for just creating characters and throwing them into a room together to see what happens. Feel free to share your wholesome, fluffy meet-cute ideas in my DMs, too. I would want to RP in the DMS or even Discord.
