I don't know about being happy (the vast majority of 'life' is still gonna dissipate into nothingness, it's just a matter of when and how gradually), but I did consider you, since I like there being a randomness to the reincarnation.

Also [@Stanifly] for that classic river of oblivion. Then combined with the above, there might be interesting occurences where someone remembers parts of a past life, but it could be like...a bug with the instinct of a wolf or sth lmao.
