Thankfully the healers did wonders and there was no bruising or broken ribs. "Hey, it was the Contest. I would be angrier if you held back. Though if I got a nasty bruise and couldn't wear any of my cute outfits I would have had to murder you. So it worked out!" Sabine had tried to joke around but it seemed Andy had other plans. It warmed Sabine up to see Andy....unleash? Was that a good word for it? When she first met Andy it was, admittedly, not the best moment for her, but even when she apologized and became friends Andy always seemed guarded, uncertain, not allowing anyone in for the most part. As they worked together Sabine noticed the shield drop. Whatever was going on, Andy was in a good place. And now she was in an even better one with America and Gideon. And who knew what else. Everyone was trickling in now. Sabine glanced at April, uncertain how to approach her. Sabine wanted to talk to her. Needed to, if she were being honest. Sabine enjoyed those kisses despite the uncertainty of where they came from. And she was also upset. How do you break up with someone and then kiss them twice? On top of that, it was...weird with Leah too. Sabine didn't hate Leah, she wasn't even angry at Leah (well...not as angry as she was), but things were still awkward. She felt the strong arm around her and Leah nudging her, moving her slightly around. Typical girlfriend bullshit, which on any other day would have made Sabine elated that Leah was trying. But it felt...forced? Sabine eyed the food. She hated seafood. But she had to eat something. "Yeah, I could eat. I am sure they have something here that hasn't swam in water recently." She felt slightly guilty as they were in New Orleans, which was partially famous for their seafood, but she couldn't stomach it. Or perhaps it was the situation as a whole. Sabine felt a presence just then as her eyes lifted to someone new. Someone she hadn't seen before. Whoever the new figure was, he felt intense. She watched him stroll over to Percy, who didn't seem to want to be anywhere near anybody else, but especially the new guy. Sabine felt an instinct to stand up and walk over, ensure Percy would be okay, but Andy, fresh from her dalliance, walked over and stared the guy down. Still, Sabine was uncertain. "Hey, do you know who the new guy is? I don't know, I get a bad feeling, especially with Percy. Keep an eye on him." Sabine desperately hoped for some type of distraction. Or at least, one of the first she could remember. She didn't think she ever attended a concert or a play or a musical in her childhood. Her father was always too busy and her mother....well that door was better left closed. So when her uncle and aunts invited her to come watch the Contest of Champions featuring a team from the school she would be attending, she couldn't pass up the opportunity. What she hadn't expected was to be left in the city alone. She arrived at the hotel as scheduled, but her family was nowhere to be seen. Apparently they had gotten to the wrong hotel, leaving her to fend for herself. And let's be so fucking for real, Millie could handle herself just fine. She had played sold out stadiums, she had walked along red carpets in dresses that no human woman should ever wear (seriously they had to know women had internal organs too that didn't like being squeezed into ill-fitting costumes that even her great-great-great-grandmother would balk at), she had faced a crazed fan and lived to tell the tale. Well, she lived, at least. Thankfully she had reunited with her loved ones and was able to watch the contest in the stands. She had remained invisible due to not wanting to take attention away from the teams. Though she had to admit, the show they put on was stellar. The Hex Girls were a quick favorite of her's, though she was rooting for Team Excelsior to go all the way (she may as well show some school spirit early on). And sure enough, they had defied the odds and won. Millicent noted some of the team had opted out, which felt sort of....well it was understandable, but it was also boring. A performer knew the show went on, trauma be damned. But she also commended them for understanding their limits. Goddess knows she could learn a thing or two about that. She walked the streets to the Court of Two Sisters where the Young Avengers and Excelsior were partying at. She had heard the Hex Girls were throwing their own shindig and she kind of wanted to be there, but she also knew this would be a good opportunity to meet her classmates and get to know them before school started. They entered and dropped the invisibility. "That's an interesting scent in the air. So, we doing introductions or are we throwing me to the wolves?"
