Capriccio will definitely have heard of it because Haven's occupation of Fanewick for the last five years means they've definitely come across cases of it, though the average city dweller likely hasn't seen a Withered themselves, at least not up close. Knowledge about what it exactly [i]is[/i] however is a little murky to Havenites. Most people (at least in the big city) assume it's some kind of sickness, one that's not as bad as the Serpent's Sickness and more a 'Fanewick problem', though those travelling to the Fanewick will be warned about it.
