[@Randomguy] Really? I think they’re actually pretty similar. They both come from traditional upbringings and crave validation from others. Though in Hibiya’s case, it’s specifically from his family.
They're similar, but they went about it in a completely different way. Hibiya (at least how he started) bucks tradition, his household is the traditional reserved typed, but he's more expressive and doesn't exactly does as expected at first, study more than playing, complaining loudly and so on. While Hikari just kept her head down and do exactly what she was told and expected. And then he found archery, the one thing he got approval from his family, but was lost after he can't no longer do it not knowing what else he can do to be of 'worth' for his family. Hikari meanwhile, is wondering what else she can do more than just being the perfect people pleaser. There's also the whole thing where Hibiya put this front of polite and well-mannered man whereas that's just something that come naturally to Hikari who wants to be more assertive. It's kinda like a foil.
