Timid pokemon though? Surely it wasn't another Wimpod right? While she wouldn't say no persay to another one, it wasn't exactly high on her agenda to go around catching multiples of Pokemon right now. Ignore her collection of Magikarp. The learning that this lake could, in theory, contain anything that flowed out of the nearby Mt Yamir, Lake Charity and other various riverways nearby didn't help Steph narrow down what she was looking for. If only because uh...she didn't really know what was in those waters to begin with! Oh well, she figured it wasn't much point in stressing over the details anyway. Though in saying that, she was disappointed at the possibility of it probably not being a Poliwag. She would love to catch one, who didn't like a good Poliwrath after all? There was a trend to Pokemon Steph liked for the most part yes, and it wouldn't take anyone too long to figure it out. Granted, she was also happy catching most things, so eh. Not as disappointed when she saw the price of a good rod though! Wait, no, disappointed wasn't the right word. Disgusted? Yeah, disgusted. She would stick with the old rod for now thank you very much. Not that she had much of a choice anyway, but it was the principle of the matter. She would risk another 29 magikarp, it was uh...good exp farming? Sure, lets go with that one. And while she was aware of the 'tourist trap' that would be the price of these pedal boats, it was also really her only current option so happy enough forked over the money and ignored how ridiculous it looked for her and Freya to be using one of these. And once she was out there in the middle, she settled as comfortably as one could in one of these 'boats' as she expected to be out here for awhile, especially if she was looking for something 'timid'. As a result she nearly fell out of the boat, metaphorically and literally, when she got a tug so soon and reeled in...was this a Basculin? She wasn't familiar with a white stripe though? Though judging by Freya's reaction to it being here, she figured she had her fish. To which Freya could have a front row seat to Steph's newest catching technique. Truly, she had more ways to catch pokemon than anyone Freya had seen. For this time? Steph just decided since she didnt really have a Pokemon that would be good out in the middle of the lake, bar another water type in Remy or maybe Barra, then she might as well just do it herself. So she would try and pull it out of the water and wrap her arms around the decently sized fish and just attempt to wrestle it. While on the pedal boat. Nothing could possibly go wrong right? And if it did, well Glory would have to come out and spam struggle bug or something. And if the boat tipped over and she fell in? eh she would just try to wrestle it in the water unless it got out, then the Glory plan would be in full effect. Fight a timid pokemon with a timid pokemon was plan b, but for now Plan A was just make the thing submit via a wrestle.
