"Probably the most effective combatant of the new recruits, definitely the most accomplished mage as an enforcer trainee. Surviving a Dead Apostle is no joke, even if it was probably the lower ranks Dead Apostle. Has the typical history of Clock Tower mages who flee to America, someone who was 'defeated' in the Clock Tower political arena and went to America to plot a comeback. In her case, it seems like some political shenanigans between the Lords, though, given her contact with Prelati, I wouldn't be surprised if she's involved somehow. In any case, seemingly a prodigy with potential to maybe reach Pride if she had continued as a mage in the Clock Tower. Definitely more potential than myself as a mage. Still...even with that talent, her mentioning seeking revenge on a Lord in her cover letter suggests a level of overconfidence."

"Seems to be less unhinged than a lot of the Zafu Association members I've met...which is good, as the typical Zafu Association member would probably freak clients out. I'm a martial artist myself, but from what I saw during his interview, he's definitely much further ahead in his breathing techniques. In a fight of pure martial arts, he probably can match me even when I'm using my Beast Magecraft reinforcement, which I'm quite good at; if he uses his boluses to strengthen himself, I would definitely lose in a straight fight about 7 out of 10 times. Either way, a valuable addition to the team. Hopefully, his past with Zafu won't be an issue in the future."

"A soldier who has passed the DoM M7 track is no joke, especially one who can actually use some magecraft. Plenty of freelancers use guns because of the legend of the Magus Killer, but just ended up getting killed foolishly, because it was not that 'the Magus Killer was great because he was using guns against magecraft', it was 'Guns were great against magecraft because the Magus Killer was the one using them.' M7 soldiers are those who are actually trained to make guns work against magecraft. Even aside from combat skills, his experience in dealing with supernatural cases and understanding of the DoM's inner workings would serve well, as the rest of the teams seem to have little direct experience with the DoM, and we do take contracts from the DoM fairly often. Still...whatever made him quit the DoM better not rear its ugly head."

"Magecraft-wise, pretty inconsequential as a Frame-rank mage, but that's not why I hired him anyway. He has underground contracts, and unlike Richard, seems to still be in somewhat frequent contact. In this line of work that often takes on jobs that would be classified as 'Grey Zone' cases, underground contacts are invaluable. It is interesting that a spellcaster would enrol at the Clock Tower, even when he dropped out in the middle. I asked some friends at the Clock Tower, and apparently, he's from a 500-year-old family that had fallen into ruin. That particular family is indebted to a certain crime family, so I'm pretty sure I know who his contacts are. An heir to a 500-year-old family who is not interested in the Root...well, if his family is anything like mine, his parents would be livid, and mine is only 300 years old."
