If she were being honest with herself, it made her heart flutter. Granted, it seemed Chase was enjoying himself, playing around, but he knew his moves. She glided to the beat as he highlighted Swing to her. She had never done swing before. Chase knew his stuff. On her periphery, she could see Leah. Chase had noticed too and, after displaying some more moves, spun her over to Leah. Sabine quickly grabbed hold of Leah, both to ensure she didn't spin out of control and fall as well as to invite Leah to move. Leah asked her how to, after all. "Hey sexy. Let's dance!" Sabine began moving along with Leah, taking it upon herself to lead in the moves she just learned. But either way, she just wanted to forget about the world outside and just...be here. With Leah. With her team. With people who cared for her and supported her. With new friends. With a night of magic and wonder. The music died, and Sabine grew worried the party was over, but she looked and saw Vision take the stage. She was curious what he wanted to say and he began noting how many teachers they lost, including Ser Nemo. But then Vision highlighted each member of the team. Sabine still felt low, still felt down about how she was during the contest, but Vision's words warmed her. She fought off tears, not willing them to come on when she should be happy and enjoying her night. But his words were true; each of them showed true strength and courage. Soon, the music began again and Sabine laughed, spinning Leah a bit and nearly falling over herself, drunk on happiness. "I love you, Leah," she said as she kissed her deeply. Audience be damned. If it was a dance battle they wanted, then a dance battle it shall be! "Oh heights never bothered me anyway. I've done a few aerial stunts during a show. Let's boogie!" Millicent's moves were more pop-centered. A few twists here, some breakdancing, spins and stunts, nothing she wasn't used to during a show. It was nice to see the Young Avengers letting their hair down despite their loss. It was commendable. Millie looked around at the new people she met, the ones she knew, and those she has yet to meet. A new school with new opportunities. She allowed herself a moment to bask in how she got here. If she wasn't attacked, would she have even known she had powers? Would she still be in the dark? And would she have been relying on her aunts and uncle to help? Or held back by her father, or worse, attacked outright? Now here she was in New Orleans, having a dance battle, about to take part in a new school to help her. The moment was broken up by kind words from Vision who spoke of each member of Excelsior. Millicent was proud of them. She hadn't known what happened before they got to the contest, apart from Internet rumors, but they made it. She was happy to be a part of them now. Her eyes wandered to Danni, who was dancing with dark and dangerous, and then to April, who, she had to admit, sparked a lot of interest. Millicent let the music, once it continued, to take her away. Losing herself in the beat. Win or lose, she was happy to be amongst others like her. It was scary, but oh so satisfying, to see what the future held.
