And yet when the evening came and the festival began, he was met with a small package bearing his name. It was flat and square shaped. And when he opened it, Roxas was looking at a familiar object he’d recently learned the mechanics of.
TM009 Thunder Fang A Technical Machine containing the move Thunder Fang. Can be used to teach the move to any Pokemon compatible with it. Breaks after a single use.
Roxas blinked, tilting his head. It was a good thing he had learned about TMs yesterday or this gift would have confused him. Instead, he was able to assume that whoever gave this to him must have taken notice of Scamp running around with him and figured the pair would appreciate such an item. And the Nobody certainly did as it didn’t take him long to boot it up and teach the move to Scamp, subsequently overwriting the move Spark in the process. Spark had been Scamp’s go-to move for so long, but a move like this would be much stronger thanks to the Boltund’s Strong Jaw ability boosting its power. In fact, he thought it might have been someone’s idea of a joke.
Charcoal A Hold Item that boosts the power of the holder’s Fire-type attacks by 20%
The warlord would have thrown the thing away had Roxas not helpfully pointed out what it actually was. And thinking about it, Ganondorf did indeed possess the spirit of a Fire-type Pokemon - Ceruledge. So it stood to reason that this Charcoal item would be rather useful in boosting the power of his newly acquired Bitter Blade technique, and perhaps his other fire-elemental powers as well. Perhaps not quite as useless of a present as the Gerudo had initially thought. But it wasn’t long after that that all singing and festivities came to a screeching halt when a small army of skeletons appeared, being commanded by a cat of all things. They called themselves the Ice King and made it abundantly clear that they were displeased by the celebrations that had begun without them being present. Immediately, some of the Seekers sought to try and appease the feline, especially after it transformed into a bigger and more dangerous looking beast. Roxas stood still, legs coiled and ready to spring into action should a fight break out. But he didn’t summon his Keyblades or try to activate any weapons or spells yet. The Nobody was watching this interaction play out first on the off chance that the appeasement was successful. On the other hand, Ganondorf clenched his hands into tight fists. He had to fight the urge to summon his weapons and lunge into the offensive. He’d just learned some rather useful new abilities and received an item that would boost the power of many of them. And by the looks of this Ice King and his army? They would make for a rather tempting target to test these new powers on. But the warlord breathed and chose to watch and wait. But similarly he also said nothing. If appeasement turned out to be successful then so be it. If not, the warlord was prepared to be the first one to lunge straight for the Ice King personally.
