That's enough banter, men. Have some more praise [@Hillan]
Hell yeah dude. I don’t think I’ve ever seen you do first person perspective before, but it feels right at home with a character like Matt. The laconic narration drives home that he’s a man on a singular mission, only giving us the most important details as he deals snappy, visceral punishment on the men in the hallway. The flashback felt like classic Murdock family fare, a foreboding contrast with the present day fight showing us that however much Matt loved his dad, Jack’s wish for him to be a better man who rises above violence is one he had to take with him to his grave. Keen to see where you take this as the flashbacks start to deviate from the usual Daredevil hallmarks!
[@Pacifista]
I’m gonna sound like a broken record but I really, really love the way you write Ross. Just a really fun, engaging and complex character with a distinct voice. Blonsky feels like a train already half off its tracks, him falling into Tala’s grasp so easily can’t bode well for my favourite scumbag general. Really enjoyed Bruce’s conversation with Doc Samson too, he seems like a good hang, if maybe a little irresponsible with his advice. Bruce’s empathy and positivity following the accident is a great bit of characterisation too, really love how he treated Talbot despite his role in the accident.
[@Master Bruce]
Fuck you buddy, where do you get off with your nearly 4000 word posts with inventive reimaginings of Bruce’s early years and exciting character intros and intense action. I really love the notion of Bruce using his time as a more typical street vigilante to further mythologise Batman via staging his own death. It’s so theatrical and on brand and really makes his mission feel all the more grandiose. Catwoman’s intro was a blast, she’s only had three lines but I love your voice for her; the way you wrote her action was packed with character and a real highlight. Croc being a mutant is a great touch that I didn’t see coming — Bruce’s limited POV in the last post paid dividends to great effect here (loved the reference to Frost Industries, too). And as for Bruce himself, amazing characterisation here. You mentioned in our DMs how at this point Bruce is focused purely on the violence of his crusade, and I completely got what you meant — but in this post I really understood. That poor tire iron. Another little thing I wanted to highlight is how you use images in your posts. It’s always to awesome dramatic effect and enhances the reading experience a lot. (Shoutout to [@Captain Uni] who also does this, great work lads, keep ‘em coming!)
[@Lord Wraith]
More Smallville-esque Clark and Lex interactions is a win for me. Really enjoyed their back and forth and the way Clark demonstrated all the subtlety of a crash-landed rocket during their pool game. Really fun seeing Victoria there as Lex’s assistant, too. Jumping back into the Daily Planet bullpen was a treat; Lois continues to be a highlight, you channel her personality really well and I’m excited to see more of her. I’m curious where you’re going to take her and Corben’s relationship. The Ace O’ Clubs reference has me hopeful for a certain Sooperman’s biggest fan. Bibbo fans rise up!!
