Dyna City was awash in chaos. The streaking comet through downtown and it's subsequent destructive waves caused numerous emergencies, and both police and emergency vehicles were in full meltdown and action. The rush of traffic and panic was causing a real congestion of the city's population. Luckily, in the hours after, the good news would be that there were no fatalities only mostly scratches, bruises, and at the very worst some broken bones. The real danger however was not in the downtown metro area, where the streaking bolt of fire had chartered it's dangerous course through the buildings and streets. The real danger was descending just outside the city. But not all at once. Instead, it slowly spread it's toxins through the veins of the populace slowly, the true terror of what this new world was going to have to face perhaps only biding it's time. It started however, truly, in an open field. --- Sully had made his way over to what looked like a downed craft. Almost an advanced speeder that wouldn't be too out of place at the Grand Pris. Except this one was slightly larger, and clearly capable of flight. Sully could see where the craft had crashed and slid across the field, it's long track of dirt and debris pulled up from the ground where it finally came to a skidding halt. Sully didn't hesitate to approach. While Nate was busy freeing the flamboyant Finn from his current predicament, they both saw out of the tree line and over to where Sully was now approaching. A remarkable sight to be sure, they began to make their way over. Finn wasn't sure if he was concussed, but he thought he could see a strange shimmer on the horizon. Almost like some sort of reflection like a bubble on the surface of water. He pointed it out to Nate, who pointed out something that he was more immediately concerned with: a seeming self-propelled lightning bolt, or an energy signature of some kind, was illuminating a few yards from where Sully was. The two boys broke out into a sprint, as they saw that the world in front of them was somehow being wrenched open - and instead of a strange energy orb, the world opened like a rift, out of which stepped 6 hulking monsters. Not unlike the creature that had appeared at the lab with two other young students. --- At the site of the downed ship, Sully could see that there was a cockpit still in tact. Without knowing how to operate the craft, he began trying to pry a door open. With a *wshhhhhhh* the cockpit opened upward, nearly sending Sully sprawling backward. In the pilot seat, clearly wounded, was what looked like a person. They were wearing a red flight suit - what almost looked like armor, and their helmet was of a gorgeous red sheen. The visor however looked cracked, and Sully could see what looked like a dark liquid spilling from it. Blood? "Wher..where is this?" a voice came out beneath the helmet. --- Miles away - DANGER. Felix watched as Rick bravely gets between him and the vicious looking creature that spawned from the rift. Without a second thought, Rick swung what looked like a mace - but what was actually a microscope he had grabbed from a nearby lab station, an improvised weapon - and cracked the creature across it's brow. The two boys were stunned however as the creature seemed to barely register the attack, and it's clawed hand reached out with a flash, grabbed Rick by his shoulder and screamed - a mouth full of sharp teeth in a head with no eyes screamed at the boy. Felix could see what looked like hot saliva spill from the creatures mouth. Behind them, the rift began to open again. And this time a humanoid shape stepped out. They were completely grey from head to toe, and they held a small device out in front of them that looked like almost like an old Satellite phone. This second person paid no mind to the two boys. It locked its gaze (if a head with no eyes can gaze) upon Felix and reared up to dive at him. It's grey ally held a finger up and the creature stopped short. Felix was surprised that he could understand the language of the strange new visitor. "Don't waste your time. Kill them if you want to, but it seems the others have already locked onto our quarry."
