1. The Broken Oath Gate (Most Canon-Respectful)

Rome already toys with the supernatural: Nemesis, souls, cursed blood, gods who interfere but never explain themselves.

How it happens

After the fall of Nero and the collapse of Rome’s divine favor, Nemesis’ domain fractures.

Marius dies again—but this time, there is no proper judgment.

Instead of returning to the Underworld or the mortal world, he is cast out of the Roman cosmology entirely.

Result

He awakens in another world, armor intact, sword real, but Rome silent.

No gods answering him.

No prophecy.

Just a soldier displaced.

Why it works in RP

He doesn’t know multiverse rules.

He assumes this is exile or punishment.

His goal becomes service, order, and survival, not conquest.
