In all honesty, the CRT wanted to avoid any fighting in the immediate future since it wasn’t his immediate forte, but with plenty of other allies staying behind to brave the mountain wall, he felt a little less worried about any potential ambushes along the way up to regroup with the team’s fliers. Of course, it wasn’t in his helpful, people-pleasing nature to stand idle as other Seekers made further preparations. Boring! Preparing was for the smart, well-traveled adventurer, and Tenna was too jumpy for the appreciation that, before anyone could actually begin travelling with him, he and his Shadowy Henchmen made for the foot of the hill, trying to assert a good starting point for other climbers that may not be too strenuous. His Shadow Guys were quick to find odd rocks that were easy to clutch and step onto in a rock climber-like form. This pathway was probably the “average line” when it came to athletics and supernatural abilities. Tenna, however, found himself more fortunate in climbing ability as he jumped and stretched just higher than his grunts scuttled. “You boys better catch up! Me thinks there’s treasure in that spooky building!” He leapt from rock to rock with stretchy grace, grappling onto any boulder edge he could clutch onto. Being nearly double in time compared to his employees, the CRT looked down at his henchmen continuing to scale the rocks from atop a snowy pine tree decorated stone platform. For a couple of seconds, it looked like the TV-Host had mysteriously disappeared, before miniature Tennas strung together from the solo tree offered one of his Shadowy companions a Tenna-rope, which he clutched tightly and grabbed hold of his fellow Darkner coworker, pulling the pack of them upward together. “Phew! Great work. No more hitchhiking though, boys, ya got it?” Tenna snapped his finger dramatically as he panted from his tiring assist. A small saxophone chirp was sung in confirmation as the trio sized up the next section of climbing. There was no possible way for the Shadow Guys to climb directly on the mountain’s wall here without assistance. Tenna examined the rock for a moment before proceeding ahead without them, sizing up how he could attempt a running jump to reach the edge. With a stretchy leap, he was barely able to get a good enough grip to pull himself onto the slab. He gave his employees a friendly thumbs-up before dusting the snow off his blazer. There was a pretty large opening here that could make a great in-between point. And on top of finding a temporary place for other climbers, there were two abandoned suitcases that were quite beaten on the exterior, but a quick examination found that their compartments had remained unlooted aside the desolate mountain.
2x Bag of Trail Mix 1x Granola Bar 1x Chain Cannon - A one-time use cannon that fires a tethered chain to bridge a short distance. Can be climbed like a vertical rope/vine. 2x Piton A handle that can be mounted into rock in order to get an easier hand on climbing. 1x Rope Spool
Immediately, the chain cannon caught his interest- reminding Tenna somewhat of a harpoon gun. “Now, is this a weapon or a tool?” He asked himself, shifting the weight of the unwieldy launcher between his shoulders. It was definitely too unwieldy to fire at any fast-moving target, so the possibility of using it as a weapon was quickly overruled… However… The tool also looked like it was meant to be planted in the ground, sporting a large nail that would tether the chain bridge. There was more than enough chain to reach the ground next to his employees… and probably then some… In a spur of quick decision-making, Tenna lay prone atop the flat, snowy platform and lined the “exit” end of the cannon towards a further rock formation downward! The Shadow Guys looked toward the exploding noise as the chain rapidly locked between two spots, providing climbers a smooth alternative to climbing rock. The CRT would clutch the chain and slide down to his minions, dramatically posing as he stuck the landing. “Ta-da!!!” Now. One more task for you two. Take these and find some good gaps in climbing that they’d be useful for.” Tenna entrusted the pitons to his employees, giving each one. By the time they finished, the effort taken to climb halfway to the cathedral had been nearly halved. There wasn’t much else for the CRT to do now besides wait for his Shadow Guys to mount their pitons and to wait for his fellow seekers to catch up. Maybe his friends could use a rest after climbing the pathway he and his minions just took… Since he had passed a tree earlier, Tenna took the time to retreat slightly and collect some light kindling for a fire.
