It is a London Manor House straight out of a grimm fairytale. Dark, haunting, forebodingโ€ฆ Yet strangely comforting. Juniper welcomes the Witches into her home, her familiar Aislinn showing the new arrivals to their bedrooms. The Witches know very little of what awaits them at Corinthia. All they know is a magnetic force pulls them in, draws them to something bigger than them. Juniper calls them to the Kitchen to introduce the Coven. Beyond a blood bond, this Coven will be rooted in genuine Covenhood. No blood magic, no ghastly initiation. Simply a shared goal to emerge from the shadows. Juniperโ€™s speech leaves the Witches more informed as to why theyโ€™ve been drawn to Corinthia. She utters a simply incantation of unity, speaking to Mother Earth. The power that begins to burn in the Manor Kitchen is undeniable. The gathering of these Witches has catalysed a surge of Magicka and all of them feel it. Juniper reassures them that Mother Earth is rewarding their bravery in unity. That this current that flows between each of them is simply the consequence of them joining together. It is exactly what The Elders deny Witches. An acknowledgment and embrace of their innate charm. It comes in the dead of night, when most of them have fallen into a peaceful sleep, disrupting the still air of Corinthia. A knock at the door. Juniper is the first response, followed by those brave enough to investigate with her. The figure that is stood in the Corinthia doorway is a visitor most unexpected. Juneโ€™s Mother. Accompanied by 2 hooded figures in floor-length cloaks. Like a hostage, Juneโ€™s mother speaks with desperation. The Elders have sent their first of many messages. They felt the pulse of energy at the Covenโ€™s conception and have come to warn them. โ€œTread carefully. Step not on the toes of your Elders.โ€ Itโ€™s the first sign of resistance. And a sign that Corinthia is working. She arranges a circle in the Manor Garden, intending to teach her fellow Witches the power of Warding. The Elder visit was a sign that they need additional protection at Corinthia. Their potency has alerted the Elders to their existence and perhaps even their intentions. For now, it was simply a warning. But dangling Juneโ€™s mother as a somewhat willing prisoner has left the Corinthia Sorceress understandably shaken. A Ward, built with the power of all of them, would suffice as a layer of protection to prevent any future visits. It will give them shelter and anonymity. Their power will be more effectively contained within the Manor walls if a Ward is in place. Warding requires patience and strength of mind. The Witches must work together to fortify the shields around their own minds, then transfer it to Corinthia. With Juneโ€™s mentoring, can the Coven protect themselves? It is the first lesson the Coven will teach them.[/sub]
