The Blacksmiths' Chronicles: Chapter 2; The City

2 weeks PA (Post Arrival)
During his first week after arriving Olliver Peirce wandered the beach and learned more about his location. By the second week he had given up attempting to get back to his home place, (or time as it might be). He decided to share some knoledge with Falindos, and as such sat down with him during breakfast as usual and asked to talk with him. Now Falindos was fairly important in the society, the son of one of the rulers, as it seemed they they were ruled by an elite class or council of sorts. And he also had a wife and 2 children, twins, a boy and girl. Upon hearing Ollivers request he immediatly sent them away and walked with Olliver to the backyard. "What is it that you wanted to tell me that required such secrecy?" Falindos inquired "Falindos my friend, by this time I have given up on attempting to find and return to my home. So i will settle here and share my knoledge with you." "It is wonderful to hear that you will stay, but what knoledge do you have to impart from your distant land, far beyond the horizon, far enough that even the stars change? " (for this was the answer Olliver had given Falindos when he asked where he was from) "I bring knowledge, of new tools, and of metalworking, and ship building. As I revealed on my first day, i had a hobby of miniature ship building, to do so requires much knowledge about the ships in question, and i will give you some of the designs. Pass me parchment and quill." This was done, and Olliver right there in the garden sketched out the basic construction/blueprints for a galley. "This is a ship designed for speed and power, a ship for war." Olliver said by way of explanation "I must bring this to my mother and father. Follow me" and Falindos started off at a running pace which to his credit Olliver kept up with fairly well
