[@themaybreeze] Thank you very much for your well wishes! Motherhood is the best thing that ever happened to me, but I'm also excited to get back into my old hobbies. 

You know, in my decade-plus of RPing I don't think I've ever been in an RP with a posting order. Should be an interesting new experience. 

As for the Planes, off the top of my head I was picturing a very wealthy and decadent nation where the upper class live in leisure and luxury, largely disconnected from the daily life of common folk. I figure they'd have plenty of agriculture and other natural resource industries to make them a very rich continent, and I'm really enjoying the vibe of a royal mage studying the mysteries of the universe in a solarium full of sunshine and exotic plants. Maybe the Royal family is as aloof and out-of-touch as any other Planes nobility and found it convenient to appoint their magical nephew or whoever as the royal mage rather than have the whole thing devolve into even more of a scandal. 

I can expand upon this but these were the first ideas I had. Let me know if they seem like a good fit for what you're envisioning.
