[quote=@shylarah] [@Ariamis] okay, so...I was wondering if there's space for a jamming system type of thing under secondary systems, something to disrupt enemy communications and electronics? Electronic warfare is a thing and I think my alien gal would be suited to using it. I took Marker Light for her primary system. Also I'm not sure where to find good, non-AI pics of mechs and could use some suggestions. --- EDIT: I think I found a decent pic. Here's my first char sheet. Let me know if anything needs to be changed. Like most members of her species, she is spindly, with pointed ears and jewel-tone eyes too large for her face -- in her case, violet. Originally cave and forest dwellers, Tevranians have excellent vision even in the darkest places. Her wings allow her not true flight, but the capability to glide easily from high places. When not in use, they fold down against her back, looking almost like a cape. Her uniform is specially modified to be open across the back, so as not to interfere with her wings. For them, she has a fierce hatred. She likes making new friends and is extroverted, but her less-than-complete understanding of human customs sometimes gets in the way. She finds human communication to be limiting, since they can't pick up on the telepathic component Tevranians use to share emotions and experiences. It's lonely in a way that is hard for her to articulate, and sometimes she feels isolated. Still, her wanderlust and curiosity do a good job of balancing out those negative feelings. Rhylaen is fiercely defensive when it comes to those who cannot defend themselves, and opposes bullies wherever she finds them. Her childhood was normal for one of her kind, but she was dead set on attending an offworld school for her later studies. She originally wanted to be a xenobiologist and sign on to an exploratory space mission for the Galactic Federation, and her best chance of that was to go to one of the hub worlds, where the best schools were located. Tevran is a fairly backwater planet, after all. Four years ago she took the entrance exam to a prestigious school and was accepted. Despite the difficulties posed by moving offworld and interacting almost solely with people not of her own species, Rhylaen thrived in her new home. She kept tabs on the war, given that her system was near the outer rim, but it always seemed so far away -- until two years ago, the worst happened. The Cruxi invaded Tevran, swiftly overpowering the planet's defenses and capturing its populace. Faced with the loss of her entire world, Rhylaen switched career tracks to a military role, wanting revenge. She proved a quick study, and a talented Framewrek pilot. Due to her skill and dedication, she was selected to join the experimental unit at Fortress Ship Solaire. A jamming system is an interesting idea, and fitting for a fairy-esque alien Framewerk with a focus on disruption tactics. Did you think about it having an overall jamming effect, or one based on proximity? In the former case, it would hamper enemy communications but not outright block them, while a proximity-based one would be effective at medium-long range, but of course risky due to exposure to enemy units. In such a case, moving to close range with the jammer active could even affect enemy sensor equipment, leading to a momentary "blinding" effect of sorts, while activating it near ally units could hamper them as well. Of course, this could be then counterbalanced by units like Logic Diver who can filter out the jamming with the relay system. Would something like that sound good?
